An Open Letter To All The Great Moms


“First off, I want to tell you how wonderful you are. I, as a daughter, will never be able to be who I am today without you. You relentlessly loved us, you fought so hard for us.

You inspire us in so many ways and I know that you will always do whatever needs to be done to make sure that we are being provided for. Whenever you feel unneeded and unwanted, please be assured that your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed.
You are the strongest woman that we, your children, have ever met.
You loved us even in times that our actions and words were completely unlovable, you taught us unconditional love. Thank you for the unyielding patience and ineffaceable memories.
Thank you for always finding a way to provide for us even if those meant personal sacrifices. You never know how much we wish and hope to be half the woman that you are, so that someday when we have our own kids, they’ll look up to us just like the way we look up to you.
Our seeming successes or achievements are simply add-ons to us, for those were all the value of your mothering. None of the usual colloquialisms we give to parenting done right even matter when we think of how you mothered us.
We are nothing but products of God’s grace and miracle.”

“首先，我想让你知道你有多么伟大。身为你的女儿，如果没有你的照料与陪伴，我永远也无法成为现在的自己。你无私地爱着我们，为我们艰苦奋斗。
你在许多方面都激励着我们并会做出一切努力来保证我们的生活所需。若你觉得自己是多余的或者不被需要时，请不要胡思乱想，你的努力和奉献都历历在目。”
你是我们这些孩子眼中的最能干的女性。即使在我们的一言一行都不那么可爱的时候，你也让我们学会了无私的爱。感谢你不屈不挠的耐心和留给我们那些难以忘怀的回忆。
尽管会面临着牺牲个人的时间、精力，你也始终能找到办法来满足我们的所求所需。你可能不知道，我们是有多么希望能达到你的一半，以至于我们有了孩子，他们看着我们的样子正如我们当初看着你。
那些所谓的成功、成就只不过是附加到了我们身上，而实质上这些都是母亲的价值所在。 当我们想到你是怎么养育我们的时候，我们所认为正确地养育子女的惯用俗语都不重要了。
我们不过是上帝的恩典和奇迹的产物。”
